There are recipes for juices and bonus recipes for smoothies, salads, soups, and mains. All of the recipes are plant-based (dairy-free, egg-free), gluten-free, and sugar-free.
Yes, you need a juicer to do the juice cleanse. If you don’t have one, ask a friend if you can borrow one. You can use a blender to make the juice recipes, and then strain the juice. However, the recipes have been calibrated for a juicer, so flavor profiles will change.
Everybody is different. But, most participants report experiencing similar hunger cycles as before the juice cleanse. And, most people are pleasantly surprised that the juices, popsicles, broth, and herbal teas sustain them, and they are satisfied, and comfortable. However, if you are hungry, experience low blood sugar, feel light headed, or require additional calories, we recommend doubling the juices, and having additional popsicles and broth on hand. If you don’t consume this extra food, it can be easily frozen or consumed after the juice cleanse.
No, While juice fasting is a safe and healthy practice for the majority of people, we don’t recommend it for those with critical heart conditions, diabetes, or cancer (especially those actively undergoing oncology treatments). Fasting is unsafe for pregnant or lactating women, too. And, juice fasting is not appropriate for children. Cleansing (clean eating, not juice fasting) is beneficial for almost everyone. Please consult your doctor or healthcare practitioner before participating in the 3-Day Juice Cleanse, particularly if you have existing medical conditions or concerns.
